Sunday Evening

Dear Family,

I wrote a postcard last night and intended to mail it
sometime today at the latest, but I have not stepped outside of the
house today and so doubt whether I will mail the card at all.
A few words about the semester so far since you left. I have indicated
that I have some courses which I do not seem able to get on
with very well, and as the "smoke ups" or warnings that one needs

the paper and the editor asked all the freshmen to write up a
certain article. I revised (rewrote) Lords article and I was
pleased to see it published that evening. About twenty are now
trying out for the paper I believe. In brief about the school
work, I have too much to do. About the house, we have pledged
another fine man but he is hanging off about coming in and we are
