a display which consisted of [our?] [yall?] in large red letters over the Chapel [site?] it was awfully pretty. I had My horse covered with cardinal ribbon. And a bow on me. I felt almost as if it were Thanksgiving. The band was out and we went trapsing around the place shrieking anad yelling our heads off And tooting and using

tin cans, rattles, Whistles, pistols and guns. Every thing that would make a Noise. A crowd of boys Joined hands and danced Around in a circle and it would then break loose In bits and these boys would go rushing whooping around the Quad. We then all piled over to the Gym and had Speeches. While to

emphasize their delight a lot of them took the median clubs from the wall and squatting down thumped the gall on the floor. All it was Glorious.

To day is Vacation So Dr Jordon decreed And I guess no good lessons are expected this week

We then got out And rushed back to the Quad where we had a beautiful display

of fireworks. The larger part of the crowd went to Palo Alto then - but I met Mr. Jordan And we went and sat down in a Sheltered Corner, it was freezing And talked.

I got in the house at half-past ten and dropped to sleep Almost as soon as I got in bed. Which was at eleven.

This morning I went for the mail and behold the post office

a beautiful cardinal painted in the night the boys are still [fireing?] the Cannon.

Well - Be sure and Send Bird down Friday because Jordan expects her and has made arrangements to take her. Oh I want to yell. Whoops-ee.
