When I first came here. On the second day I paid Mrs. Morton my board. I thought I would be rooming alone. It was $33 00/100 may be she'll deduct from next months because I was just a little while alone. Any way after this month it will be 25. so send the bill to Uncle D. and put 33.00 for first month. $33.00 Board 10 registration fee. $5.00 books - $2.00 co-op. ticket etc. 2.70 = 53.70 that left me seven dollars as I had a couple of dollars - & the registrar returned the two and I have now just two dollars for my wash or what ever I have to do or get. With my fee it has been

$68.70 total expense. My board for rest of term three months = $75 75+68.70 = $143.70 which bill if you please you will send to Uncle D. & not worry yourself to pay me.

I am going to take Astronomy and need Young's haven't you an old one to give me which will save me so much money. I asked the Registrar how many stamps it would take, for the Register, and he said four. I don't know as yet how much my washing will cost. Mrs. Morton said she would make arrangements for me. the Chinaman charges per month not per piece

Friday night our entertainment went off well & they all said that I deserved a great deal of credit, we had pictures from Life, two were [Gibsonians?] I took part in one. The

One boy thought he'd be smart & hauled out a dollars. I cooly took it & walked off. I know he must have been scared to death but I should keep it. I gave it back the last part of the evening.

Everyone has been giving me compliments on my originality & artistic ability. And I was well satisfied with the

I'll probably go to San Jose again, but will be better trained for it.

Did you know that Nellie is coming down here Saturdays?

I think Mabel's dress will be very pretty and sweet.

I'm much obliged for the
