[Sunday 11 March 1883]

Six years today since Mamma
died! Harry will get to the
Leichardt [Leichhardt] sometime during the
day I expect. (Evening) Such a
long day I never spent. We came
to bed at ½ past 7, glad at
last to have reached the close
of the day.

[Monday 12 ]

Mr. Shadforth came back, having left
the dray bogged 8 miles from here.
He will go with Mr. Taylor tomorrow
to dig it out. It was a relief to see
him ride up, we were all so dull.
It was a little cooler today. Mr.
Shadforth saw Harry & Mr. Bob
10 miles this side of Gregory
Downs. They were well & getting on
all right.
