Still making very little progress.
Mrs. G. is very ill & I am not very
bright. This boat is almost entirely
manned by chinese. Cooks, stewards
& all.
Friday 24
Harry & I sleep on deck all night.
The cabin is so close. Head wind
still blowing.
Saturday 25
Strong head wind still blowing. We
shall not get to Thursday Island
till tomorrow night. The trip is
generally done in 3 days.
Sunday 26th
Slept pretty well all day. Head
wind blowing all still.
Monday 27th
Arrived at Thursday Island
this morning at about 10. Mr.
Chester & Jim & Mr. Boor came
on board & we went back with
the former & remained all
night. Mrs. Chester is at home
& is very pleasant She is the
daughter of an old Indian Officer
