Services in any way you might be able to employ
them as I was one of the Officers left to discipline
the Persian Army and a strong resemblance in
soil and climate appeared to me to exist between
the two countries at that time New Holland was
in its infancy and required many things you now
have in abundance but still I think there are
many useful arts (conducting & finding water) and modes
of cultivation which would answer to both. Not
having received any answer to that & a following
letter I presume you were returned to Europe
which from your Son James as well as Davidsons
account must have been the case. In January

heard you were again returned to Port Jackson
and on my return to Persia I again wrote but
the chances of its ever reaching you were but little

I only returned to Europe in February of this
