The Boys made me laugh describing
the welcome of their humble Italian
friends – a woman washing salad
wiped her hand on her apron before
holding it out – a man who was
digging put his hand into his parka
to wipe it before offering it & another
woman rushed off & gave yellow roses
the man from whom we hire a Piano
brought a selection of Beethoven to lend us!!
they are a simple hearted people here –
