This material forms part of the Royal Anthropological Society of Australasia records, 1885-1914, with additional material, 1921-1926, 1991, and papers of Alan Carroll, 1886-1892, held at the State Library of New South Wales

This folder contains:Survey returns, mostly completed by local police officers in 1899-1900. Some lists annotated with dates published in the Journal, 1901-1903being part of the Society's 'survey forms and correspondence received ... regarding Aboriginal place names, 1899-1903, 1921-1926'.

Surveyed districts include: Albany, Bardoc, Beverley, Broom Hill [Broomehill], Bulong, Carnarvon, Cossack, Esperance, Fields Find, Gullewa, Gunlata, Gryalla, Gwenford, Kalgoorlie, Katanning, Marble Bar, Mingenew, Mount Barker, Mount Gould, Mount Wittenoom, Newcastle Sub-District, Norseman, Northam Sub-District, Northampton, Nullagine, Onslow, Perth, Roebourne, Rojonup, Southern Cross Sub-District, Swan River, Table Land, Wagin, Williams, York Sub-District.
