Munkee Munkee Oysters Place where oysters had been eaten

Booyong Place where scrub timber named Booyong grew

Bullen Bullen A battle or fight

Jumcut The Ocean

Ballina from aboriginal word Bullina A fighting ground

Newrybar  The place where vines grow

Tintenbar The right-hand creek
