Sans Souci. March 3rd 1888. Friday 12. M.
My darling beloved husband. Another anniversary
month has come round. Today is 15 months since you
left me. Oh! how I miss you. My heart yearns to see
you. I pray to be a christian, so I may meet you in
heaven never to part. I would be so thankful to see
you once again. if only for one hour. I miss you more
and more and long for the time to come to live near the
Churchyard and pay yourresting place daily visits
and keep our place in perfect order. I seems so strange
and sad not to see you in your accustomed places out
here that I can hardly bear the loneliness without
you all are kind and I am grateful for my many
mercies but nothing can ever make up for my sepa-
ration from you. Oh my darling I long to see you.
