father was quite annoyed that you did not spend

not give over that practice - I want to give the
children a treat tomorrw with a corn pie - I know
you are [sear?] of rice. & I do not know how to ask
it - but if you could spare me 1 pint (I would
(have no use for more) I would be very glad - for
mercy knows I shall have to [scrabble?] hard
enought to get a dinner - I will give you roast
pig if you will come - let me know in
