Thank William in your prettiest way for me dearest for the loan of his horses - I could not have gratified the young people otherwise - And I am so rejoiced to see the dress [it does look some thing like your babies better I thank you for your offer of eggs & cream which I avail myself of - as I know there will be a scarcity of the latter and there may be of the former. I will have to beg about two dozen more oranges as I have not been able to keep those you gave me from the children big & little If you have nutmeg I will be glad of one or two I will have to borrow crockery & your candlesticks but that will do on Monday. Kiss the dear babies and love to William

My dear child

I am indeed sorry to hear that our precious babes are so unwell. I cant bear to think that that dear pure looking child should be disfigured with an eruption- Pussy advises small doces of Flax seed tea salts & cream of tartar - the doces she has proportioned for you. give but little at a time say 1 table spoon full - as it is not desired to operate on the bowels - but to cool her blood - get some Elder flowers - draw them into strong tea & frequently with a sponge wash the erruption - You do not say what is the matter with dear little Willie? I would certainly come over this evening but that the[Miss's Wylly sent me word they would be here

Ms [J. H Couper] also promises me the pleasure of her company tomorrow to dinner. Will not you & [William] with who ever of the [Frasers] are with you join [Ms C.]- here- your father was quite annoyed that you did not spend yesterday with us - He says you [William] and you must not give over that practice - I want to give the children a treat tomorrw with a corn pie - I know you are [sear?] of rice. & I do not know how to ask it - but if you could spare me 1 pint (I would (have no use for more) I would be very glad - for mercy knows I shall have to [scrabble?] hard enought to get a dinner - I will give you roast pig if you will come - let me know in time to send early for you - All join in love to you, [William] & the girls & kisses to dear [Anna] & [William] - Your own Mother [AMKing]
