Mémoires Cahier C commencé le 15-VI-42

Lundi 15 juin. On vient chercher la cotisation pour le temple. Lors d’un voyage d’inspection, le rabbin Samy Klein 123, rue Bougeaud, [geo] Lyon [/geo], avait été ici et a demandé après moi, dit le jeune Victor Allaman qui fait partie des Éclaireurs, routiers et amis de M. Dana. C’était pendant mon absence à [geo] Marseille [/geo]. Bridge chez ma femme à laquelle participe Thérèse Becker qui m’apporte le journal suisse Die Tat, intéressant, vivant, qui nous apprend tout de même des choses qu’on ignore chez nous. Mais à quoi bon ? Cela ne change rien. – À la bibliothèque, rien. Alors chez Munzer où je trouve le livre de S. Freud : Der mann Moses, und die monotheistische religion , Verlag Albert de Lange, Amsterdam 1939. Quelle imagination, quel arbitraire, quelle façon d’interpréter ce qu’on ignore ; c’est honteux, mais, dit-on, scientifique. Un fatras invraisemblable. Mais p. 47 je trouve un passage qui me concilie avec l’auteur : [German] Wenn wir mit der biblischen tradition so selbstherrlich und willkürlich verfahren, sie zur Bestätigung heranziehen, wo sie uns taugt und sie unbedenklich verwerfen, wo sie uns widerspricht, so wissen wir sehr wohl, das wir uns dadurch ernster methodischer Kritik aussetzen und die Beweiskraft unserer Ausführungen abschwächen.
