Governor of Utah Dear Sir - From information I have received I am convinced that Joseph Hillstrom who is being held in the Utah states prison under death sentence has not received a just rial, and as a representative of the people the power lies in you to see that he recieves a fair and immpartial trial. The taking of a persons life is murder wheather [WHETHER] the life be taken according to law or otherwise. Yours for Justice Char. L. Jaques.

Dear Governor: I would plead with all my sou to with hold sentence of Joe Hillstrom who is sentenced to be shot Oct 1, 1915 think of the "Great" command "Thou shalt not kill" weigh it thoroughly before allowing this man to be killed. and remember the killing of this victim will be another cog forceing the tention [TENSION] that is now almost to the breaking pointwhich will cause the workers of the world to rise in defense against unjust courts and malicious sentences as in this case and Lawson's [??????] Ford's Shur's and hundred of others. I wold have you consider, consider well. Yours in prayer J.Y. Jones
