Resolution RE: Judge's Salary. The following resolution offered by Mr. Morris, seconded by Mr. Brown was unanimously adopted. "Resolution fixing salary of Judge of the Corporation Court. Be it resolved by the Council of the city of Charlottesville that the City pay the Judge of the Corporation Court a salary of $600.00 per year payable in monthly installments of $50.00 per month. This is to be in addition to his present salary. The City manager advised the Council that Mr. R. K. Stoutamyer had resigned his position as City Electrician and Mr. J. H. Smith was appointed to fill this position, this appointment was approved by the Council. Sidewalk Petition A petition from Mrs. M. B. Williams and Charles N. Hulney for sidewalk on 14th Street was presented and approved for construction. The total cost being $65.00 the City's portion thereof amounting to $21.67. An Ordinance. An Ordinance " AMENDING SECTION 538 OF THE CITY CODE, ENTITLED" GAS CONNECTIONS TO BE MADE BY THE CITY". was presented by Mr. Brown, read and upon the rules being suspended as the the second reading was unanimously adopted by the following recorded vote, Ayes, Brown, Morris and Joachim.
