William W. Crapo Esqr
New Bedford

Dear Sir,
We have your favor 29th this morning.
The name of Genl. Davidson is all right, his claim is for personal effects & it was prepared here.
We think it would be well to furnish us with a list of claims in your hands for Ins. prems. paid as we as we have entered al ours up, & if we don't get them it will do no harm.
Note you were going to Boston to day, & that Mr. Beaman could not meet you.

Yours truly
Barling & Davis

2nd line: changed ??Brawon?? to "Davidson" The name is not clear. There was a Union General Davidson. Changed "affects" to "effects".
1st line 2nd paragraph changed "is" (sic) to "us", changed "list" to "list of" It appears to be two words. The writers of these letters dropped words or gave parts of words, occasionally, probably due to writing quickly.
2nd line 2nd paragraph removed [premiums], prems. is an abbreviation that makes sense on its own.
2nd line 2nd paragraph changed "[illegible[" to "up"
