It will we think, be well to bring all influence possible to effect this, but as Mr. Beaman will be fully posted when he returns from Washington this can be discussed hereafter.

Dear Sir,
We telegraphed you this A.m.--asking if you could meet Mr. Beaman here tomorrow, & we have your reply at 2 p.m. saying, "I prefer to be in New York Thursday but will be there tomorrow if you prefer it. Telegraph me in season your wishes. I must be here on Wednesday."
To this we have replied, "Come on on Wednesday night". This we trust may have reached you in season to prevent your inconveniencing yourself by coming on to-night & hoping to see you Thursday about 10 A.m. We remain
