Some of my Tob. by the Fauquier, you [vay?] is very mean, which is according so custom preparing me for the Reception of low sales for it, I wish it was better & that it was in my Power to make such Tob. as would meet your Approbation, you mention a sort, of which, you desire to have by the Return of [Hylsons?] ship, I hope you will receive such of my Property & I think it is a name, which the greatest Part of my Tob. has generally deserved_ I am sorry to find by your's of the 20th of January, that you little expect to receive Interest of one at least that you don't frankly give up that charge if I did not think, that I had the strictest, Justice of my side in this despite Invoic'd willingly [illegible] but as I have seriously considered it, I can never agree to it whenever I decline a correspondence & upon closing an ACct, fall in Debt so a weren't after that, it is my Opinion, [illegible] should commence & continue until Payment, but that has not been the case, nor will it ever be, with us you mention a reasonable sum to be charged for Interest or else a comensation by sending you a greater there of any consignments, which you have had hither to, considerably & that in own Bottoms, I need not tell you, that it is let troublesome & of course more agreeable, so be concern'd with a few, than many, of whatever Denomination, therefore, genirously, give up that charge of interest which you have no right to & let me have a living Price for my Tob. & I can venture to say you'll be satisfied with the share you will have of Crops_ I am glad you are sensible that I Ought not to be jadded with death of the 2 dozen Silver spoons & Fan which Goods I never receiv'd_ I am obliged to you for paying a Regard to any [illegible] which you may be assued shall be as seldom as [illegible]
