Now about the Wis. work & annual meeting, I have not been able to get any definite response. Have about concluded to raise the money by solicitation to pay the board of delegates & begin advertising the meeting if I could raise $25. in addition to pay

your fare on I would gladly do so. I will write Mrs. Suther to see if she can not do this. My idea is to have the meeting begin Monday evening and end Tues. evening one day for business two evenings for lectures delegates would have their expenses paid by the Society from Mon. night to Wed. morning 1 day and a half $3 apiece suppose we had 30 people that would be 90 dollars

and the printing &c would be something over $100. all told - now as to the trip, I think meetings might be put in around here & at Columbus to bring us to Waupacca & after that we could go on farther north but I ought to know just what you will do in time to appoint and advertise them as it is about the time

of the opening of clubs I think you might write to Mrs. [Scend?] about that club in Milwaukee & to Madison & other places to see if you can not get some clubs that will take you for a definite price in which case you could doubtless get the money. I wish you would write to Marilla Ricker & ask her to give us a hundred dollars toward our printing. we could

then have an edition of the Tribune devoted to our work & ask you for a large number of copies.

Of course it would be useless to ask to become auxiliary to anything of which Mrs. Catt is the secretary but there will be changes, we must bide our time & watch now about the annual in Washington I think it would

be well to ascertain whether the Universalist Church or the Quaker Church can be had & on what terms I think we should obtain a list of all the clubs & societies of women in Washington & send a written invitation to each inviting the entire membership to be present & sit in a body and inviting each to appoint a representative who

shall give some account of the work of her society or take some other part in the meeting. This invitation will be read and discussed in the meeting that will advertise us whether they accept or not Some of them will come & some will appoint a delegate to take part & this will interest all her personal friends.
