The Board desires me to express its thanks for you most excellent report. They (it) wish very much that they cold have had the pleasure of seeing you.

The Congress is a very pleasant one. The reports of the Vice Pres. this year have been specially good, particularly those in reference to the criminal classes of the State.

The paper on the Chinese question elicited so much discussion that a second discussion on the subject took the place of

I am very glad that your report has come for Nebraska & you always deserve to be heard. I have never forgotten your graceful speech in Boston. few persons would have shown so much skill & tact as you did.
