Friday JANUARY 13 X 1911 Got up with back ache & head ache - stayed in bed all day. Mrs Mitten came over. Capt. & Mrs Symondson stopped a minute. I feel some better - Dick looks fine, will measure him soon. 1912 Dick goes to his first party to day - Little E Rodger Stearns is 3 yrs old & has invited all the neighbor children. I stayed all night with the Jordans - came in & took a sweat bath by ten oclock

Saturday JANUARY 14 1911 Went down & got some curtain material - came home & had lunch alone. Mrs Moiso spent the afternoon. Frances went to an afternoon tea. Dick was in the house all day. Sunday. JANUARY 15 1911 Went to church in the morning - had dinner at 1 P.M. Family went to Ocean Park on new road - no mud or water after rain on [Wissture?] Blvd. Measured Dick & found him 33 1/2 in. without shoes. No rain at 7 P.M. a ride out in the country. Dick had the time of his life - "Moe" is mighty nice to him. I made a mistake in the date & put this for Sun too.

Monday JANUARY 16 1911 Home all day. Made curtains for my room. Took Dick for a long walk. Dick eats cream of wheat for breakfast, bottle at 12 M. another at 3 P.M. - for dinner, a little potatoe gravy, carrots, bread & butter, soups. Orchestra meets to night Took my bath & sweat - had brunch with Frances then both went to see Pete & the baby. Pete was up & dressed & looks fine. Looks like rain - think will have it to night

Tuesday JANUARY 17 1911 Went down town - payed all my bills - sent Lilli ten dollars. Took Dick for a walk Mrs. Wrightman Smith came in a minute. Pete was over & told me the news. Frank has gone hunting. Went for my bath - have a bad cold. looks like rain - but the wind blows pretty hard & it may blow over.
