Wednesday JANUARY 18 1911 Took Dick for a walk in the morning. Clara had lunch with Frances & me. I went to Hollywood with C in her machine & took the street car home. Pete & Irma stopped in for a minute. Beautiful cool day. Had eight ladies to luncheon then played Bridge - Mrs. W. Smith stayed to dinner then we took her home & stayed till Mr S. came home no rain but turning colder.

Thursday JANUARY 19 1911 Went down town in morning. Called on Mrs Smith across the street in P.M. Took Dick on car down town for ride - met Frank & came home in machine. Got tickets for Jeff(ery?) de angelis in "the Beauty Spot" - pretty good. Lovely day - cold night. I Went & looked at houses with Frank, took my bath - came home let Jessie go out. Irma is coming to dinner - Pete is feeling fine - no rain - but cold Dick measures 38 in.

Friday JANUARY 20 Laundry morning - Perfect weather. Took Dick for long walk. Read "Science & Health" - took nap. Called on Mrs Carlisle & Mrs Howard & the Mulligans in the Eve. Started to rainat 10 P.M. & had wet fog all night. Frank played (Aurendale?) - Francis & Dick & I went to the Jordans - (is ok?) Billie & (Dr?) for a ride over the good roads from Whittier to Long Beach. (Antione?) is in his works, we saw 7 aroplanes in the air at once. Will go out to the field.

Saturday JANUARY 21 1911 In the house all day - a mist was falling most of the day. Went to Dr Jordans for dinner, picked up Dr Robinson on the way - Dr Jordans birthday - dandy dinner. Had a game - came home $160 the winner. Mondsy we weighed Dick & found he weighed 85 lbs - he isn't quite himself lately & I think we will have to change his diet. Too much bottle I think.

Sunday JANUARY 22 1911 Beautiful morning - went to church & sat with Mannie Long Rivers- Lesson - "Truth"- a splendid help. we took Cecile Grippin & all went for a ride - came home & got tea by our selves. Was awake lots during the night.
