1849th Jany 10th Very cold this morning
clearing & Halling Pine Brush & wood
last night from some cause or another
the Fire was made up about 4 O
clock in morning & a spark Poped
out on the chair that my wifes wearing
apparel was put the over night, which
Caught fire & the Blaze waked me &
I succeeded in puting it out tho her
frock Handkf & apron entirely burnt
up with several other things —

11th very cold & Clear, cutting wood for
Plant Beds near house —
Lila Breaking flax, – smartsnow on ground

12th Cut wood for Plant Beds till 12 oclock
& then went to new ground. Clear & Cool

13 Halling wood cart & waggon

14 Sunday Raining weather moderate

15 ground very wet snow all gone
Taking down balance of middle
barn Tobacco. Henry gone to Glenns
Mill
with 8 Bus. wheat for flour & ½
Bbl corn for meal, weather moderate
& windy ground very wet —
Jacob went to school to Mr. Shelton
from Mrs Colemans 2 days last week
& started again this morning. –
he is to Board at Mrs Colemans till
Friday evening Saturday morning every
week & then come home.
