15 I went to Court firing Tobacco Cutting down & Plowing for wheat —

16th. delivered property to day not done

17. gathering apples Halled furniture from Mr Hunts place, shrubing Halling wood

18 Halling wood Halled up our old Blade fodder & 1 stack Oats & 1 Load leaves Malled up some wood & I went to aspen Grove, cloudy nearly all Capt clements Daughter Buried here this evening

19th Raining this morning & very cold got out Peas firing Tobacco & making Baskets & Jobing about got our apples in Granary yesterday or day before Diging [H] in Barn to put up apples

20. Raining again putting up Irish Potatoes & apples to day in cellar & Barn. Sent to Mill this morning checking stables Let Buck Jerry Smith Lila Jordan & Lowry have Soles Buck & Lowry Caps firing Tobacco

21st stayed at home all day nannie went to Mrs Colemans, tolerable day

22. Began to sew wheat Digging Sweet Potatoes etc I went to see Edd Mr Bybee has put up Sweet Potatoe seed & also the Estate of J D Hunt If they Keep I am to have seed from Mr Bybee We ran 3 Plows to day charley Plows well

23rd Sewing wheat Pulling corn putting up apples & Irish Potatoes etc, Halling up 4 Loads out of upper part of Lot & shucked last night - warm weather ————

24 Bob went down to Mrs Hunt brot her Loom & Bureau & got some hops Sewing wheat next to Capt whiteheads choping around stumps where we sewed wheat in fresh ground & cutting down & Pilling stacks - I went to Barksdale Hubbards & Dawsons & aspen Grove collected for Grasty - - etc - swapted Horses with John shields to day gave him Charly & Lucy for his Gray Horse John & $5 to Book [Boot]

25. went to Wm H Wallers for Grasty - Finished sewing wheat next to Whiteheads fixed Gate pulling Corn & Halling wood.

26. went to James McHaney|Jas W McHanys]] for Grasty. pulling & Halling corn & stacks out of Lot. began to Plow & shuck corn in evening - I went to old Place for Jennings

27th Court Martial held here to day, my wife & Mrs Hunt gone to Fannies & Kates Sewing wheat in Lot Shucked out corn putting stacks in stable loft - & housing corn,- fine weather —

28th my wife came home I went to Strait Stone Pray meeting & to Plantation

29th Mr Cothran Sent the waggon up & I am this morning cleaning out stables, getting pieces for chimney Bob is cutting wood sent Jerry down after Bet & a ps cloth to Miss Neals to weave, sewing & Harrowing in wheat in upper part of Lot - to day fixing to start to Lynchg in evening. Raining some -

30. 31 1 Novr 2nd Do working on chimneys Daubing Houses Cutting etc raining all the time this week.

4th went to Plantation Mrs Hunt went to Mrs Colemans yesterday & Saturday we halled wood cut etc cleared off very pretty

5. Sandy & Jacob shoemaking we are halling up stalks & commence plowing for wheat. I went to Scruggs. sold Ham Steer for $20. If paid in 3 mos. no Int. If not Int from to day began to still for Est. run off only one still full to day

6th Novr I went to Election shoemaking Cutting, Plowing for wheat in Lot - My Hogs begins to Come up, except the Pigs

7th Finished sewing wheat stilling all day for Est. run out 2 still fulls - Fixed cow shelter frame -

8. Put up Greens Halling Rails for hog pen, & cow pen, etc getting pss to shingle office Sho[e]making all this week here & at aspen Grove, Jacob & Sandy

9th Halled rails made cow & Hog, Halled some wood shelled Corn, Raining nearly all day a little cut some wood etc

10 Halled wood malled & cut. Halled & put up fatten hog Pen cleared of cool & windy Kate & Mr Moses here to night.

11th Went to meeting at Strait Stone. Mr H

12. Sent to Whiteheads saw mill got 200 feet sheeting, Sent 1½ Barrel screan wheat for chop 2 Bushels corn for meal then Halled 5 Loads corn from field next to Whiteheads. Pulling corn there. I am Stilling for Estate of JDH.

13 Stilling again to day all day Halling up corn from far field, Halled up 15 Loads in waggon from there 1 more to hall in morning - fine weather — Sent Jacob 5 last & sent another little one for Doran over there,

14 Halled one Load corn up to day here 1 stack oats & little fodder stack,- pine Brush to cover greens. Loaded waggon with 2 Hhds Tobacco & started Henry to Lynchg give him for toll $1..25 shucking corn here, Hogs are put up at aspen Grove 11. & 1 Beef to Kill they are getting up corn there,

15. Shucking corn Nannie went with Mrs Hunt to Whiteheads a little while Mrs Worsham here cutting out negroes clothes for JDH Est. I am stilling & finished Cider for Est. Mr Wyatt came here this morning to shingle office Henry helps him for $4.00 clear fine weather to day —

16th Finished shucking corn halled up & housed 2 waggon Loads

16th novr Sent my Horse to L Yates Shop Card 1 shoe & he found one nailed them on behind had Mrs Hunts here to day & to night I have stilled to day 1 Doubling 25 GallsBrandy for Est. toll to come out Mr Wyatt finished 1 side of office & began the other, likely for rain—

17th Raining this morning & we are doing but little till after dinner, then we housed all the corn we shucked. about 40 Barrels & 27 before. making over 65 Barrels housed shattered corn to get up yet had Mrs Hunts Horses to hall up about 7 Loads Henry got back this evening Tobacco and sold did not get any time nor my wifes Bonnet; - got bale cotton for Cothran & 1 Bar Iron for Est. of J.D. Hunt -

18 Went to Court. sold Mr Hunts children carriage his gold watch & silver - watch sent waggon Home to aspen Grove Halled wood, Claiborne gone to aspen Grove in Sandys place, Sandy is at Mr Hunts place shoemaking, yet. etc —

19th Stilled to day made for Est 2.25 Gallons toll to come out. Halled up Corn to day, Mrs Hunt & Bob went to her place yesterday Cleaned up round office this morning Mr Wyatt finished it yesterday

20th Halled up fresh ground corn & part of the stalks I went to Doct. J C. Thompson Funeral & Burial at Riceville Mrs Ward Mary Adams & Mrs Coleman all came here about 12 oclock cool day —

21. Finished Shucking Corn & halling stalks

22nd Killed Beef at aspen Grove & shucking Corn
