31st A good day. Jim staid at home. Ben went to Charlottsvill. Has not got back yet. We all have had a lone some day. Carrie come a little while this evening. I am a fraid that Josie is bad off so that Ben will not come home to night.

A good day. Jim and Ben tied tobacco all the morning. This evening Ben carried me & Franklin to White Falls. I caugh several fish. I was so glad to go. Kate come while I was gone. I was sorry not to see her. Carrie was here when I come home. She commenced to dress the fish. Mrs Car helped her. I was glad for them to helpe me so much. Carrie come and dressed the baby this morning. Marvin solde his cow today.

A good day most of the day. A little rain to night. Jim worked on tobacco about all day. Ben was one of the judges at the election. I voted to day the first time. I dont believe it right that woman should vote. Ben heard from Josie. She is getting on as well as could be expected. Mrs Ownen come for Carrie and I. Ben and Jim went to tye tobaco. Henry went to school.

A beautiful day. Jim & Ben stripped and moved tobacco all day. Today was Ednas birth day. She talked about it a great many times. Mrs Car gave her some money. Aunt Carrie gave her a nice piece of rbbon and a cake. I killed a chicken and made pies. Ben did not hear from Josie to day. He is troubled about not hearing. The baby has bin better to day than usual. Carrie come this evening and bathed the baby. I am so glad that she will attend to her.

A good day. Ben [&] Jim stripped tobacco most of the day. Marvin killed a hog today. Ben did not hear from Josie a gain to day. Carrie gave me a nice plate of sausage to night. I dont know any thing to write and my pen is so bad that I cant write much.
