A good day. The boys stripped tobacco all day and tieing yet 8 tonight. Ben heard from Josie today. She is getting on very well. Carried bathed the baby this morning. She brought me some meat and scrapple. Marvin went to Gretna & Altavista today. Carrie went to Altavista. I am willing to work all that I am able but the staying so close and studieng how to get every thing done is killing me but I cant help myself.
Saturday, November 6, 1920
A good day. Ben & Jim stripped tobacco all day and tonight. I cooked dinner and put it a way then went fishing. Reese drove Bens car. Henry went with us. I caught one nice fish. We eat our dinner on the bank of the pond. Marvin & Carrie went to Strait Stone this evening. The [?] come with Marvin home. Ben got a letter from Josie this evening. We hope that she is getting on OK.
Sunday, November 7, 1920
A good day. Jim staid at home all day. Lizzie came to see us today. Carrie come and bathe the baby. She cried all she could. I am so glad she done it for me as the baby hates bathing so bad. Ben went to the hospittle. Found Josie as well as he could expect. I do hope she may get well soon. Franklin went to Mr Owens to day. We had a big hunt for him. Carrie made the bread for supper. Lizzie set the table.

Ben's birth day A good day. Ben carried Mrs Car and Edna & Mabel to Jim Powers this morning. He eat dinner there. Jim & Ben loaded the waggon this evening. They intend going to Gretna in the morning. I sowed a little on Effies quilt tonight. I am anxious to finish it. A bout all of us have colds. It is lonesome here tonight. We miss the baby so much. Hope she wont get sick.
Tuesday, November 9, 1920
A good day. Jim and Ben went to Gretna with tobacco. John Hutcherson loaded for Owen. Franklin and I staid here most of the day. We went to Marvins this evening. Jim went to Chatham from Gretna. Heard this evening that Beaula B will be married tomorrow at Lynch Burg. I wish I could know how Mabel is doing tonight.
