Fri April 27 Clear and the wind blew
pretty steady about all of the time. John
finished harrowing and clod crushing the
barley piece and then he worked awhile on
the piece toward the barn. I finished sowing
the alfalfa seed on the barley piece and Franks
folks came here about the time I got here
and then he helped me finish the sweet
corn planting down in the lower orchard.
To day [Today] the 27th of april the prairies just begin
to turn green a little and the Duanes purple
lombard and wild plums and pears are in
bloom and the apple trees and cherry trees
will be in bloom in a few days if it dont
turn cold.

Sat April 28 Nice in the fore part
of the day but the wind got to blowing like
fury towards night. John and I went to town
this morning and done sundry errands
and got home about noon and this afternoon
we went over to scrape out some dirt that
had blowed into the ditch just north of
the north line of the John Howard place.

Sun April 29 Mostly clear but
pretty windy towards night. John went
home to day [today]. Frank was here and took
home some cows of Lew's. Lew and Mary and
Mr Amos were here too. Mother and
I kept about as good Sunday as we
could.
