Minutes of Meeting held on 19th October 1945
Present Crs W G Morgan (Chair) H J Blacker, Jas Doudle,
R F Richardson, G C Smith & P Woods,
also Clerk AH Taylor & Overseer K S McFarlane
Minutes of previous Meeting read and Confirmed.
Finances
Financial Statement read Showed a credit of £2489.2.9

Correspondence
Grant in Aid - Highway Dept advised that £282 had been allotted as Grant in Aid for Current year.

Post War Road Programme
Highways Dept in reply to Council's letter stated that the greater part of the Post War Road programme would be undertaken by Departmental Gangs & plant. Also that the Department would assist Councils in the purchase of Machinery by loan up to 5 years at 4%.
Also that earth moving plant are in short supply

Thanks
Secy to Dept of Air wrote thanking the Council for Services offered for urgent repairs to Aerodrome during War period, and stating that the assistance in now not necessary.
Speech- EDH Russell MHR with copies of his speech on the C/wealth Banking Bill, for distribution to Councillors.
Re Road
J T Nelligan wrote re the result of his Appeal and also requested that something be done to the road leading to Section 13 Hd Mortlock.
Prop Cr Blacker/ Sec Cr Woods} That notice be given to Mr Appleton to erect a Ramp , and also a properly hung gate
18ft wide at each end of the road between Sections 47 and 14 Hd Mortlock. Carried
