Minutes of Meeting held on 21st Septenber 1945 Present Crs W G Morgan (Chair) Jas Doudle, R F Richardson, G C Smith & P Woods also Clerk A H Taylor & Overseer K S McFarlane Apology fro Cr H J Blacker for non attendance

Finance Financial statment presented showed a Credit Bal of £2674.19.0 Minutes of previous meeting read & confirmed.

Correspondence Surveyor J S Shepherd & Son advised that Mr S H Ayliffe Surveyor expected to be in Pt Lincoln on 8th October if sufficient surveyors is available. C L Alexander Surveyor also notified that he had applied for release from RAA F and expects to be available for Surveying the middle of October.

Road Repaired R E Ryan stating that he had repaired the road over the North Block as directed by the Council. Recd

Permit C E Bates Cummins reqeusted permission to erect a 5 roomed stone house on Lot 26 of Sec 2W CumminsPermission granted subject to any instructions under the National Security Act or Regulations.

Mrs A D Reynolds in reply to Councils notification giving her 3 months notice of cancellation of lease of Road. Recd

Mrs S A Hill re purchasing portion of road at Slaters Court Cummins. Clerk to reply that Council have no intention at present of closing that portion of the road.

Re Land J Fuss again wrote re land for a road on West side of Block No 2 of Sec 3a Cummins - Clerk to reply that; nothing has yet been decided in reference to the proposed road. Pipes J Danzic requested permission to take two old discarded pipes and put them in front of his premises at Little Swamp. Permission granted subject to Overseers approval. Circular re Childrens Playgrounds. Received. Transfers Registrar General of Deeds advised the Transfers of Land Registered. Carried

Rates Adopted The Estimate of Receipts & Expenditure for year ending 30/6/46 was presented and moved by Cr Smith that the estimate be adopted and a General Rate of Fifteen pence and a Differential rate of 3d pence in the £ on the whole Assessment of the District and a differential rate of Twelve pence in the £ on the Assessments in the Town of Cunmins be declared for the year ending 30th June 1946. Seconded by Cr Richardson & carried unanimously.

Report Overseers Report was read Prop Cr Woods /Sec Cr Doudle} That the Overseers Report as read be adopted. Carried

Lettter to H of Govt. In reference to Post War road work and Machinery requirements Prop Cr Smith/ Sec Cr Richardson} that Highways Dept be written to asking for information in reference to the 5 year plan and what work Councils will be asked to do and also what, if any new machinery is, or will be available. Carried

Railway Crossing Cr Woods requested that Supt Railways be written to re Ry Crossing at the Junction of Sections 477/8/9 & 480 Hd Lincoln where pipes are required. This to be done.

Court of Appeal The Assessment Revision Committee sat as a Court of Appeal and heard appeals against Assessments. 24 appeals were dealt with as entered in the Appeal Book of which 8 were reduced and 16 dismissed. Request Cr Smith requested that a spoon drain be put in on the newly graded road between Sections 27 & 18 Hd Mitchell. To be done.
