The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause - the Report
was received

The 30th Rule was again suspended and the
By Law was read a third time and passed

Ald. Thompson introduced a By Law to make
provision for the watering of the streets within certain
additional areas in the City of Kingston and to define
the said areas for the year 1886, which was read a
first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading

The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the Chairman repeated the
second reading of the By Law. The Report was received.
The 30 Rule was again suspended and the Ry Law
was read a third time and passed.

Ald. Thompson introduced a By Law to change
the name of Pond Head street which was read a first
time

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading

Ordered that a rebate of fourteen dollars
be allowed out of the annual license fee for
[Reactualling?] houses as fixed by By Law sections 140
to 143 of the Consolidated By Laws of the City of
Kingston

On motion of Ald. Shannon seconded by Ald. J. Wilson

Ordered, that the proposed widening of [strikeout]gen[/strikeout]
Young street and the extension of Garden street
be referred to the Streets Committee to investigate and
report.

On motion of Ald. Shannon seconded by Ald.
Thompson

Ordered, that the Mayor be instructed
to Communicate with the Dominion Government asking
that its rights, whatever they may be, in the strip of
land beach and adjacent water in front of lot number
twenty three late in the fast Concession of the Township
of Kingston and west ot Beverly street on lot twenty two
lying South of the public highway, be transferred to
the
