Dear Sir.

I received your letter of March 1945 and since the questions you asked have long been on my mind, I am taking the time to answer.

First off all among my post-war plans I intend to return to Stanford shortly after the end of my military service. I hope to be greeted with a "business as usual" attitude where ever possible. I plan to undertake the same course of study as I [abandoned?] in March 1943. I don't expect any modifications in the courses except where it is necessary to refresh some of the older students. I wouldn't appreciate any shortcuts other than [bringing?] less emphasis on the courses that are far removed from the students principal course of study,
