Spirggs sent for advice & medicine.
Charley took Miss Mary Gilpin to
a ball at Mechanicsville home

Went to Fulford. Wm S Bond her
& sttled my account against M
W Murphy's Estate. Rain towards
night.

Messengers here from Springgs and
Knights. Frank Gilpin here for advice
& treatment I went to Geo: Springgs
Sent C Johnson to Jno: Hills after chickens -
& Willie to Ashton after "motto" frame
A Cyclone passed across the turnpike
between Sandy Spring & Fulford
tearing up trees etc. E Duvall here
for advice & med: for R. B Phelps. after
dark.

Took the whole family including
servant [?] (C. Johnson) to the annual
meeting of the Agricultural
society at Rockville. Reached home
at 6 o'clock p.m. tired.

Friday, 5th
Went to John Bowen's. G B Phelp's
Knight's & War'k P Miller's.
Herbert Kirk Richd. P. I & "Jakey" came
& spent afternoon with Willie.
Herbert remained to spend the night
& went with the rest of us to the
Lyceum to hear the "Blend Violinest"
who gave a concert there.
