To the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle.
Gentlemen:
Your petitioners, citizens and taxpayers, on Lake Dell Ave, city of Seattle, respectfully petition and solicit your honorable body to extend the electric light on said Ave. We ask there be three arc lights, one on top of First Hill north of Yestler Ave. Second on the road at Richie's hill, third in front of Hirple's [sic] grocery. We pray these lights be granted us as it is very daingerous [sic] to go down the hill at night.

Your Committee on City Light to whom was referred a Petition to Light Harvard and Villard streets between Depot and 4th Street, recommend that 3 incandescent lights be placed as follows.
One 30 candle power lamp at the Point of Junction between the Nagle and Pontius additions at the north end of the Little Circular Park on the west side of Harvard street, another at the intersection of Chester and Villard streets, and one on May and Villard streets to be located at such points as are described in the Petition.
