A cloudy day and rained enough for a season. The boys planted tobacco. This evening the children dropped plants. Mabel fretted for Edna. Josie made Franklin a little suit to day.

An agent come here today and is at Marvins tonight. He is enlarging pictures.

We all staid at home to day.

A clear day. Ben carried Willie & Bill to Long Island. Josie and Franklin & Mabel went with him.

Jim come home. Henry Blair brought him from Chatham. Lee & Ben cut some of Kate Harveys wheat this evening. Henry and I went with Ben to Renan. Heard this morning that Julia Fergerson has a little daughter born this morning. I am glad. I have not seen Carrie to day. I certainly did want to see her.

Well things dont go like I want them to but I cant help my self. Will try and do the best that I can. That is all I can do.

A good day. We need rain bad. Ben finished cutting Kate Harveys wheat. He got done by twelve oclock. He come home for dinner. Jim plowed some to day.

Ben shelled two bushels of corn and went to the mill at Cedar Forest. Henry and Franklin and I went with him. Josie washed a big washing. She washed this evening.

Marvin and Carrie and Reese went to Altavista and went over to Bedford to visit the Reese homested.

A good day. Ben carried John to Gretna. Julia & Edna and Franklin and Mabel went with them. Ben did not stay long. Then he plowed in his tobacco. Jim plowed some and then mowed hay. Them and Marvin have gone to the school house to hear speakin to night.

Josie planted some pepper this morning then got dinner. This evening she gathered some black berries and went to Marvins.

I got breakfast and milked the cows & fed the chickens and churned. Cut some quilt peices and went to Marvins. Come home. Fed & milked. Brought two buckets of water.

A good day. Very warm. Jim & Ben finished getting up oats and hauled up some hay.

Marvin solde his land today. Norman Booker bought it as Marvin would sell. I had Norman had it as any one that I can think of. Oh how I shall miss them if I live that long.

Carrie and the children come here a while this evening. Mabel has cried a lot today. I am certain that she is not well. Julia & Edna and Franklin and Virginia Wooding all went to Marvins to hear them sell. Had a car[?]
