Rain this morning. A good evening.

Josie got dinner. Had butter beans the first from our garden. This evening Dews and Mayhew and Ben and Paul played croquet all the evening. Kate Harvey come a while and Virginia Harvey and Doris Brumfield come by from Strait Stone.

They had carried one of A J Harveys girls to Mr Thompsons.

A good day. Just at dark it rained a shower. It was badly needed. The men folks got out at three oclock this morning and moved some tobacco and cut some this evening. Josie and [I] helped them some this evening. We picked some beans this morning.

This evening Cordie and Nettie Blair and Lizzie Anderson come. Kate and Virginia Harvey come. Virginia wants to learn to knit and knit a sweater.

A good day. Ben and Paul fired tobacco all day to day and will stay at the barns to night.

Mr Owen and Henry went to Gretna carried primings. They sold well.

Josie baked a cake and got dinner. She went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. I picked a few beans this evening.

Cordie and Nettie Blair come a little while this evening. I did not see them. I was at the bean patch.

A good day. Ben and Paul fired tobacco all day and will stay at it all night. Paul has got to haul a load of wood to night.

Mr Owen and Henry went to Gretna with primings to day. They solde well.

Cordie and Nettie Blair come over here this evening.

I did not see them. I was at the bean patch.

A good day. The men folks finished moving a house of tobacco and filled it with green tobacco.

Josie went to Carries this morning and stayed with the children while Marvin and Carrie went to Altavista.

They eat supper before they come home. Josie and her children. I got dinner at home and gathered some beans.

Paul has gone home this evening is to come back to night. Hope nothing will happen to him or the car.

I got a letter from Alma and Evelyn to day. I was glad to hear from them.
