1857 June 2nd Nannie & me went to Fannies & carried her Buggy home I take 1 Sette 1 Harness @$15Our folks thining corn & Plowing & weeding at stoney pint,- fine weather at this time —

3rd. Replanting corn at mountain field. & weeding corn to day Carried all our Tobacco off This day - cool weather this morning

4th June, Plowed Tobacco Lot & scattered manure Plowing & weeding corn etc,- picking Plant Beds about this time,

5 June. Plowing & weeding corn, this day I went to Pittsya Court House

6th Plowing & weeding corn this day - Sent Mrs Hunt 5 or 600 collard Plants& some Potatos to Plant lent Miss Neals a Horse to Plow ½ day today

7 went to sunday school & we all went to Mrs Hunts pretty weather

8th Hester & Mr Fariss Jack this day. Plowing & weeding corn in field fresh Claiborne at stoney pint Plowing wrote to Doct White to go & see Fannies Jerry & Sent Letter to his Mill,-

9th Mrs Hunt Owes me for 1 Bottle Perry davis’s Pain Killer sent by Jerry, weeding & Plowing Corn in fresh field to day 10 Fine Rain yesterday & we planted some Tobacco in fresh ground & this morning we finished there & drawing plants & going on to new ground,- Planted my wifes Patch at Cow Pen this morning nearly finished planting new ground,-

11th another fine rain yesterday evening Picked & manured our Plant Beds

and wishes me to Sent her 5 Bus wheat for it to yates for it which I will do

23rd Bedding sewing Guano on upper part of Lot & Planting this morning & Expect to try & finish. - very cool indeed this morning I like my Grey Horse Robin very well This morning choping out Pea Patch & working in Garden awhile till the Plows get the ground ready - to Plant - Fannie Sent my sheep down by Arch 21st at night, come safe & sound Fowlers solution for Fannies Jere, 2 Drops to begin & increase to 4 Drops & so on as he bears it

24th Finished plant Lot Tobacco yesterday & then went to weeding & Plowing corn at mountain field to day they will finish Coltering corn at mountain Jordan is Harrowing & we will Bed & Plant one or Two Bottoms missing to feed Hogs on Sewing Peas about this time & Laying by Our Corn at stoney pint in Tobacco Land etc, trying to finish weeding = very cool nights indeed nearly Cold Enough for frost for 2 or 3 nights We sprinkled Guano water on a Plant Bed a pt of it which makes them Grow very fast

25. Plowing in corn Laying by & sewing Peas Jordan Harrowing Corn. Sandy will colter Cotton to day for them to weed expect to finish weeding Corn before 12 oclock to day then to the Cotton Patches etc
