8:30 P.M. May 22, 1921

Meeting called to order by Vice President in the absence of the President.

Reading of the minutes was waived.

1) Members present, L.S. Hsu, K.T. Yeung, Pai, C.T. Chi, F.Y. Chuck, Don Chase (N.Y. Yue later).

2) L.S. Hsu in chair

3) Business.

A. Hsu announced matters to be discussed. a) Disposal of house: Hsu announced that the President and he had decided to give full powers to act on disposal of the house to Pai and Dreyfuss. Ratified.

b) To give control to the university and to elect new trustees: motion carried to turn the house over to the university to rent, all above running expenses to be applied on debt, providing the trustees were willing.

c) Matter of electing some one to look after club property and documents during the summer: Motion carried to ask trustees to authorize the University to pay taxes and care for documents.

d) Social meeting: Motion to have social for American friends June 4 instead of May 28.

B. Other business: a) Motion carried to ask U.[C.?] for assistance b) A.F. Chuck elected to meet with Trustees as club representative

C. Motion carried to adjourn.

The meeting was called to order by President Yue at 9:10 P.M.

Both Secretary and Treasurer were absent and the reports of the last meeting were not read. Mr. F.Y. Chuck was appointed Secretary Pro-time.

The first business transacted was the discussion of the financial conditions of the club. President reported that the balance in t he treasury was $82.45 and the following accounts:-

$284.25 Must be paid to the University before the end of the end of Sp. quarter $200.00 Could be secured from the Alumni and trustees $84.25 to be secured from the members

Mr. F.Y. Chuck made a motion stating that the $10.00 pledged by every member in t he last meeting are to be paid at the end or before the end of the spring quarter. The motion was seconded and carried by majority votes.

The next business was the election of President for the Summer quarter and the elections of secretary and treasurer was dispended.

Mr. C.H. Lee was unanimously elected President.

Mr. F.Y. Chuck then made a motion impowering the president to appoint any member to assist him in discharging his duties. The motion was duly seconded and put to a vote. It was carried.

The discussion about a farewell tea party to be had in San Francisco, then took place. The final conclusion was that a tea party was to had in San Francisco, May 16, the alumni and trustees were to be invited; the discussion of future plans of the club and the saying of farewells to those members graduating this quarter being the objects annd the expenses were to be paid by the members themselves.

Mr. Lee, our President-elect, moved that we should have a play in San Francisco for the benefit of the Club. The motion was carried.

Mr. C.H. Lee was then elected director of the play.

The meeting adjourned at 10 P.M.

July 17, 1921

Special Meeting 8:00 P.M.

Attendance:- F.Y. Chuck, A.F. Chuck, Geo. Chan, C. Chen, R. Chin, N.Y. Yue, Chen To Chi, Dreyfuss and W. Pai C.H. Lee Mr. Geo. Chan temporary chairman.

Business:-

1. Mr. H.W. Pai spoke a few words on house management.

2. Mr. C. Chen made a motion that the acting president should make out a list of persons who are to chair the house and if anyone should fail to do his duties three times in succession, he should be fined $1.00. The motion was seconded and carried.

3. Mr. C. Chen made a motion that a member be elected to take charge of the mails of those that are absent. This motion was amended to read as follows "That the English secretary of the Club should take charge of the mails of the absent members."

The amended motion was seconded and passed.
