A little cloudy but no rain to do any good.

Ben carried Virginia Harvey to Gretna on her way to school. Jim tied tobacco all day. Mr Owen is working on tobacco two. Jack Harvey painted most all day. Ben & Henry helped some this evening.

Two life insurance agents come here to day.

Josie got most of the dinner. I baked a peach pie this evening. I made some apple jellie. Went to the orchard and got a basket of apples.

Went to Marvins a few minutes. Come home and dressed a chicken and milked the cows.

The men folks has gone a opossome hunting to night.

Jack Harvey went from here tonight.

Cloudy most of the day and some rain.

Jim & Ben stripped tobacco the most of the day.

Mr. Owen went to the island for guano. William Gilbert (col) went for Kate Harveys guano with Marvin Smiths team.

Jim B is helpin Henry with his lessons. Ben has gone possum hunting.

Josie made Edna some under pants to day.

I went this evening and got some sweet potatoes and washed them ready to cook. I ironed some this morning. Josie got most of the dinner.

Ben found Mr. Owens cow with a little calf to day.

A good day. Ben hauled wood all day. Jim fired tobacco. Josie and I went to pick peas this morning. Mabel was not satisfied so Josie had to quit and bring Mabel home.

I staid until dinner and picked what I could. Josie picked some this evening. I went to George Blairs. Nettie Hendrickes was there. Miss Alice Hubbard and Ada Hutcherson come a while.

School at Renan commenced to day. I do hope that we can have a good school this time. Ben has gone possum hunting to night.

A beautiful day. I am at home tonight. Marvin brought me home this morning. Found them all getting on well. Some of them said that they did not miss me. I milked tonight. Franklin helped me what he could. The men folks are fixing to opossome hunting. Evelyn is going two for the lack of sence. She claims to be not able to work. After this she needs no pitty only because she has no more sence. Mr. Mayhew come up here today and got some mellons. They have a lot of them here now.
