All this day fresh winds from the S
ward. Ship under all sail. Steering to
the E ward by the wind. Mended a
main top gallant sail and stowed the
remainder of our sperm oil between
decks. Saw one finback but no whales.
So remains all well. Lat obsd

The day began with light airs to a bout
Sth. Ship under all sail. Steer by
the wind. Middle and latter part [calm?]
Saw several finbacks but no whales.
The day being the Sabbath no
labour done more than necessity
required. So goes. Lat obsd 36:00

87 Monday the 20th
Light airs from the Sth ward
through out the day. Ship under
all sail. Steerin [Steering] to the E ward by
the wind. At 4 PM raised a cow
and calf. Lored [lowered] struck and killed
them and took them a long side.
So remains all well. Lat obsd
36:14. Longitude 16:20 per count.

88 Tuesday the 21 fst
Began with light airs. At 1 oclok [o'clock]
AM began to cut. At 8 finshed
and set all sail but saw nothing
worth remarks. At sun set began
to boil. So goes. Lat obsd 36:08
