fresh breese from SW with harey weather
at 5 PM saw the land baring EE distance
by longitude 50 miles at 1 AM juged our
selfs within 5 miles of the land lay aback
until morning at day light in for the
harbor at 7 went on shore and got two
men one of them [itrooper] the other a seaman
I find the chronometer to be 7 miles to fare
to the eastward [ ] 4 sail nothing more
worthy of remark so ends the lay Lat

moderate breese and pleasant weather a strong
SE by S by the wind. Middle and latter parts
a light breese and pleasant weather
Employed at setting up our head stays and sundry
other jobs nothing more of remark

The first part of these 24 hours we have a
light breese and pleasant weather at 3 PM
St Maryes bore E by S distance 87 miles
at 5 AM S Michah bore ENE at 9 I saw the
Island of St Mayes baring SE saw 4 sail
supposed onre of the to be a whaleler
Employed at overhauling our rigging and
sheathing our decks nothing more worthy of
remark so ends the day Lat 37.00 Long 25.30
