and perfectly cure ye Cholick in the Stomach or bowells, & also ye bloody flux & gravell in ye kidneys, it may be taken at any time of the day if a fit comes, if taken in health tis good to precent Illness; you may let it stand on the [Cees] 3 weeks or more, if you please before== strain it except you have occassion to use it.

Dr. Lyrenhams receipt for Worms in children & fever all Distempers in the Stomach for aged as well as Children.

Wpr,wood, Centaury, Sage, & garden Scurvy grass, of each one hand full Carduus Seeds, & juniper berries, of each 1/2 an ounce. infuse these cold in 2 quarts of [Sack].

The dose is 6 spoonfulls twice a day fora person grown, three spoonfulls for a Child of Seven or eight years, two Spoonfulls for a Child of four or five years one spoonfull for a child of ten or twelve months twice a day.

Continue this course at least a month, taken fasting in the morning doth best.

To make oil of Charity In the beginning of may, take rosemary, camomoile, == lavander with y/e. great leaves [ruoEnwood], red Sage all Stripped from ye. Stalks, of each of these a quarter of a peck chop them small & put ym. into a glass bottle and as much of oyl of olive as will Steep them, Stirring them well together, till all the herbs be throughly wet, & Some oyl Swim on the top. then cover it, and let it Stand in the Sun a month Stirring it often at the monthes end, Strain if from the herbs as clean as you can, then take half the quantity of herbs as you did before adding to them a quarter of a peck of chavichy chop ym. Small & put'em into the oil nch, was Strained from ye. other herbs, boil it on a Soft fire & Stir it often have a care, it does not burn to ye.== bottom when 'tis boil'd enough then Strain it & let it Stand 3 days in your glass, then Strain out ye. oil, and boil it again about half an hour, if it be made right 'twill be of a perfect green.

The virtues of this oil.

It is good for bruises inward & outward, for sore breasts, for wounds & aches, coming of cold cases, deafness, a pearl in ye. eye. for bruises give four or ten drops, according to ye. age or constitution of ye. Person, it must be given in a spoonfull of posset drink & drink a draught of posset drink after it, and amount the bruised places, so take it 3 or 4 times as you see occasion but let there be 12 hours space between the taking of it warm it a littler for sore breasts & aches, & bath i wth your warm hand, for deafness drop 3 drops into ye. ear when you go to bed & stop your ear with blackwool & like on the contrary side, As you make this oil so you may make oil of St. Johns wort flowers but do not chop them, pyut nothing else in but the St. Johns wort flowers.

To make y.Red powder Take of cardus 2 handfulls of Turmintull Pimpernells Dragon. Of each a handfull Virginia In a hearveed. And Sheed well of each one handfull Bettony Angelico and Scabious of each one. handfull wormwoof halfa handfull. agrimony and Vervin of each a quarter of a handfull. Shred thefo herbs very small. And infuse them in a quart of white Wingdays setting it in. Sun then straiy herbs hardout from wine, and infuse the like quantity of herbs 9 days more in the same winw then strain herbs hardout again which done take a pound of Bale allinonack well powdered then put as much of wine as tghe powdermill take up and set it in 4 sun, and everyday as it dries, put on more of the wine that the herbs were infused in. Stirring 2 or 3 times a day with a stick in the cafe wetting Saffron, burtn harls horne crabseyes and hrehard pearl of each one ounce, 40 grains of Bealor, an ounce of the powder of red Corall then try it with your hands if it will, work like half then it is ready to put in a ounce of Dias cordium, hald an ounce of Nethrodatum and halfan ounce of Cochineal to work all together and make them into balls and dry them in Sun. Probatum est.

The Virtues

Tis good in the Small Pox or any malignant fever in the gripes loosness or bloody Flux, in agues, Meesells and great colds as much as will lie on a Shilling - heaped, if ye Distempter be Violent take this Quantity every [3] hours for for 4 or 5 times _

Diet drink

Take 4 ounces of Surfaperilen, 2 ounces of china root, 1 ounce of Shavings of harts horne and as much Sassafras wood, 7 ounce 8 1/2 of liquor boil these in a gallon of water, till it is two quarts then take it off the fire and ass 3 quarter of an ounce of Sweet Fennell seed infuse ym. close= cover'd untill ye. liquor be cold then Strain it.

To make a distilled milk to cool & heal & Sweeten Sharp humours Dr. Willis's rect.

Take the tops of Cyprus young plantane & shep her ds pouch of each 2 handfulls crums of white bread 1 hd new milk 7 pints distill of this water in a draught of milk. but let it be all one cows milk then boyl your milk & put ye. water to it, when tis cold, = drink it.
