August 14, 1932. [Mother?]: Please return promptly --

Dear Dr. Van Waters

I wish to thank you for the way you helped us in our difficulty about the Catholic mothers going to Mass on Sunday morning. I also wish to thank you for all that is being done for my baby. Since the nursery school has started I see so much improvement in my baby. She recognizes an apple, a house a dog and ever so many other things. She use to be so nervous but now that is nearly all gone.

Miss Gladding and Miss Mason has taught her so much I'd have enough material to make a book. I tell both of the instructors little things that Barbara does that is they seem small things to us but I know they mean a lot to them who are taking care and instructing our babies I am trying to show my gratitude to all who are doing so much good for my baby and myself by my conduct.

years old on August 29. She has got the word mischief written all over her face. But I love her all the more for it. I went down to the laundry yesterday and ironed her doll's dress and bonnet so she may have a nice, clean dolly to take out with her when we go from here. Dr Van Waters since they have the nursery school my baby don't bite so much that is something for which I am glad.
