AUGUST 13

1931. We ironed today. Cosby came late this afternoon and we went to Richland to church to-night.

1932. I cleaned up the house this morning and embroidered some this afternoon. Dad & I went to see Mr. & Mrs. Conley a while tonight.

1933. Ruby & Jasper came a while this morning, Reck, Sis and I went to see Mother & Dad this afternoon. Mother gave us some damson's.

1934. Kate washed for us today. I made some grape jelly and canned some tomatoes & got dinner. Sis started her school today. She is teaching at Wilson's. Sis went to town this afternoon & went to see Nora Lees. She is going to have her tonsils removed tomorrow. Jessie, James, Basil, Elizabeth, Stella & Fletcher came a while tonight.

1935. Kate washed for us today. I got dinner & did the general house work. I sewed this afternoon some.

AUGUST 14

1931. I went to Pleasant View School this afternoon & went home with Miss Nannie tonight. Reck, Miss. Nannie & myself went to church to-night.

1932. Reck came this afternoon and we went driving.

1933. Sis and I washed this morning and we went to town this afternoon. We went to see Jee a while this afternoon.

1934. I ironed today and got dinner. I gathered some dried butter beans this afternoon. Nora Lee had her tonsils removed today & is getting along as well as could be expected.

1935. I ironed nearly all day. I wrote a letter to Mother. Rex & Dock went down on the River tonight but it rained so that Mr. Slaton didn't go. Joseph stayed all night with us. It has rained.
