Seed Cake
Put the yolks of ten, the whites of five, Eggs into two
pounds of Flour, a quarter of a pint of yeast, one pound of rough
sugar, Carraways, and a quarter of a pound of Sugar; then stir in one
pound of Butter melted in a quarter of a pint of Cream; set it
half an hour before the fire to rise and bake it one hour.

Buns
Rub half a pound of Butter into three pounds of
Flour till like grated bread, put to it three Eggs, three spoon
fuls of Wine or Brandy, half a pound of Sugar, half a nutmeg,
a race of Ginger, a quarter of a pint of thick Yest, as much
warm milk as will make it into a light paste: set it half
an hour before the fire, and then make it into one dozen of
buns, wet them over with egg and beer beat together, and bake
them half an hour in a quick oven.
