We the undersigned disinterested persons do certify
An honor that we are personally known to the
fact, of G.M. Hanson Deputy Agt. Ind. affr [affairs]
N. Dist. Cal. having had Shafts & tongue [tongues] made
for and attached to a Buggy belonging to
the United States and that said Buggy,
[Harness] & two horses were taken away
from the livery Stable of Dow & Micure
in Yuba City/\in October or Nov, 1863 last by Elijah Steele Suc-
-cessor to said Hanson without leaving
my receipt for the same
