Ft. Miller Cal
Feby 12th 1864

Hon: John Conness,

Dear Sir,

I have the liberty to enclose to you
triplicate vouchers, for a claim I hold
against the Indian dept, for services
[rendered?] to the Indian at Colville, during
my [illegible] in that vicinity

I also enclose the letter of Mr C. S.
Miller, in whose name I left the vouchers
for collection which explains itself

I sent these papers to you, because
I know of no one in Washington whose
buisness it is to attend to such matters;
with the request (if not consistant for you
to attend to it for me) that you will hand
them to some suitable person, in that buisness
who will collect the money for me, taking his
fees from the amount and send the rest to
Mrs. Matilda Parry, Arcata, Humboldt
County California

Hoping that all goes well for our
glorious union and that you will
excuse me for [illegible] you with this
business, I remain Respectfully [illegible]
Isaac Parry
