Dear Friend

Enclosed please
find your voucher which has but a
few days since been returned to me
although I requested if not paid to be
sent back some time since hernce my
delay in writing you. My cousin
J M Murphy to whom I sent the vouchers
for collection advises me that at last
the Indian Supt hold all back claims
would have to be forwarded to
Washington where you will collect
the same. I never could understand
why Maj Rumsill voucher was paid
and not this one. We havethe vouchers
returned to us, Dr I have endeavored
to serve you the best I could and I am
not to blame for the delay I hope you
will receive your vouchers and return
me acknowledgement of receipts
