Yours of [Oct?] [28?]th 1864 is at hand
requesting me to furnish Mr Wiley information
relative to Gov cattle in the posession of Col Henley
as desired by Mr Wiley

I must express my [illegible]
at Mr [name] [illegible] the department to request
me to furnish the [illegible] information in as much
as in from last when turning over the property
on Round Valley Reservation to Mr Wiley
I then informed him that Col Henley had
[illegible] to me that he had about one hundred
head of Government Cattle that he had preffered
to turn over to you to each succeeding Superintedant
[illegible] his removal but could not get them to
