2Office of Indian Affairs Sir I have the honor to inform you that by order of Genl McDowell the following articles of clothing which had been condemned by a military board have been turned over to me for the benefit of the Indians under my charge viz 678 great coat [illegible], 7 great coats [illegible], 17 great [levats?] Infantry, 21 Sack [levats?], 23 Flannel Shirts, 8 prs Trousers. 2 Blankets. The goods have been shipped to Round Valley and will be taken up on our papers and issued to the Indians the same as other clothing. Very Respectfully Hon Wm P. Dole | 2 |
