Nov. 2, 1917.

The meeting was called to order by the president at 7:15 P.M.

In regard to old business, the question of presenting the Chinese Students' Monthly to the L.S.J.U. Library was brought forth. It was decided that the president ask the librarian to subscribe for it instead of our own club presenting it, for fear that the long continuance of the present may not be successfully carried on.

The question of giving a "social" to the California Club came into discussion. Mr. [Lhan?], the chairman of the committee on the matter, reported that he had made some plans about it and that the success will depend solely on its financial support. Finally, the members were asked how much each one would voluntarily contribute toward the financial support of the social, and this summed up to be approximately $20.00. The question was left, at this point, in the hands of Mr. [Lhan?] to find a suitable place and date for the affair.

With no further business, the meeting was moved and seconded to be adjourned.

Yours respectfully,
William C. Meh
